June 2017 Agriculture School Graduation

The Agriculture Schools graduation ceremony had many visitors including parents, government officials from several places, and even business people. We heard a wonderful testimony from one business man who previously hired a graduate from our school. He was asked by another business person about getting a very dependable worker. He allowed the friend to take our student. And now at our graduation, he was back to hire four more of our graduates. It was very encouraging to hear him talk about the faithfulness of our previous student, including always praying before going to work. It touched many deeply to know that these young people are making a difference when they leave this place. Another testimony was given by one of the parents. She talked about how many wonderful changes she had noticed in her son since he started coming to our school. God is working!

New Swahili Books – Selling out fast!

The new Swahili books that were just printed have been very well received. Some are already completely sold out within the very first month! The new books include Swahili versions of Steps to Christ (100,000) Victory in Christ, and a wonderful health booklet called You Turn by Dr. Diehl & Aileen Ludington.

We are printing our books in Poland at Springs of Life to ensure great quality and good prices. We have already placed re-orders on some of these books. In addition to this, we have five more books newly translated or updated that will be going to press very soon. Not only do these books offer great help physically and spiritually, in the back of every book is contact information if they want more books, free Bible studies or to talk to someone to get answers.

Internet at the Mission Post

NEWS!

In the last several weeks, we have had a big surprise.  We now have a few places here and there where we can get faster internet through the local cellphone towers.

With this improved internet, we no longer have to drag our electronics to town in hopes of good internet and a few minutes to try to get internet work completed.

I hope to get many of the pages on our website updated in the near future.  I have already started and the Newsletter Page (under About US) is up-to-date with all the past newsletters!

All of our newsletters are e-newsletters, so if you haven’t signed up for them, please click on any signup location (on any of our pages) to keep up-to-date.

Health Evangelism Department Update

The Kibidula Medical Missionary Department now includes Kori Butts as a full time staff member. In addition to the basic medical missionary training held at the Evangelism School (the first month of each 5-month session), the team has been very busy with mobile teaching sessions, health expos, helping with evangelism efforts, translating the teaching materials, developing tracts, opening our new Wellness Center, and doing village door-to-door work.
Kori has been a big help, as she has been very active in the villages around Kibidula, helping people with all kinds of needs. A few students from the Evangelism School have the opportunity to continue the medical training and work together with her in the community and at the Wellness/Lifestyle Center. Over 50 men and women have been advised or given medical assistance, food and clothing provided for more than 15 families, and four gardens for the elderly or sick “put back in shape”. The new Wellness/Lifestyle Center has served 3 guests so far.

Ultimately, the goal is to win people’s trust that we may reach them for Christ. Our first health guest that came for help with out-of-control diabetes earlier this year was baptized on the 17th of December! We are praising the Lord for opening doors and hearts.
Fifty students attended the one-month medical missionary training this year at the Kibidula Training Center as either a stand-alone class or as part of the 5-month evangelism course. Together with our students we conducted health expos and meetings in 15 different locations, with more than 2’262 attendees. In connection to these meetings, 111 people decided to be baptized.
We want to praise God for all He has done!
