Publishing and Press

Publishing & Press

For more than 25 years, God has used Kibidula’s books and tracts to reach people across Tanzania and in countries beyond its borders. Through practical, Bible-based literature, He brings hope, answers questions, and points people to the abundant life found in Jesus. Again and again, we hear stories of Kibidula literature opening conversations, strengthening believers, and leading people to Christ. Every book we print is more than ink on paper—it is another opportunity for God to work in someone’s life.

From a Small Beginning

For many years, Kibidula’s publishing ministry relied on outside printers and imported literature.

Kibidula Publishing of Books and Pamphlets

A Small Press with a Big Mission

As demand grew, God opened the door for Kibidula to begin printing in-house (2014). Our first press operated from the garage, kitchen, living room, and dining room of a staff house on campus.

Though the space was limited, it enabled us to begin producing our own literature while training Tanzanian staff in the printing ministry.

Growing to Meet the Need

As the ministry expanded, the small garage was no longer enough. A dedicated press building was constructed in 2016, allowing us to install additional equipment and greatly increase production.

From this building, millions of Swahili GLOW tracts, thousands of Bible studies, books, health resources, and other publications have been printed and distributed throughout Tanzania and beyond.

Preparing for the Future

God continued to open doors.

A new 200-foot (61-meter) press expansion has recently been completed (2026), providing space for commercial-scale printing equipment.

The new facility, with additional equipment, has greatly expanded our ability to print high-quality Christian literature and, Lord willing, in the future, complete Swahili Bibles.

It will also serve as a training center, equipping the next generation of Christian printers from Tanzania and other countries.

Bible Translation

Imagine receiving your very first Bible in your own language—a Bible that is clear, faithful, and easy to understand.

Being able to read God’s Word is a very vital part of the life-changing relationship with God. We believe every person deserves access to a translation that is both accurate to the original Scriptures and easy to understand.

This man just received a Swahili Bible and is immediately giving thanks to God for this wonderful gift!

Our translation team is working directly from the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts to produce a high-quality Swahili translation. As we carefully compare existing translations with the original languages, we have found places where wording can be clarified, important details expressed more faithfully, and the richness of the original text communicated more clearly. Our goal is not simply to create another translation, but to provide one that is faithful, understandable, and trustworthy.

This translation will also make it possible to produce resources that are difficult or impossible to produce with current translations. It will provide the foundation for a Swahili Study Bible, an audio Bible, and other publications that can freely quote Scripture without copyright restrictions.

Another important goal is to make high-quality Swahili Bibles more affordable and accessible to those desiring God’s Word.

We have witnessed the overwhelming joy of people receiving their very first Bible. Your partnership helps make that life-changing moment possible—and helps place God’s Word into the hands of many more people.

Together, we are training workers, producing resources, and sending the hope of Jesus through the printed page.
